Presidents Report:
Thanks to all for changing our meeting date on short notice to allow for our presence at the upcoming School Board Meeting on Tuesday, May 12 at Old Village School.
School Administration requested $20,000 from Athletic Boosters to cover half the expense of replacing sprinklers and re-soding the Eight Mile stadium, which they denied
pending more information about the long term plan for the stadium. It would be helpful to have football parents join with lacrosse and others to present the needs for our
field to the School Board. The meeting begins at 7:30 pm; John will communicate a more specific time for this agenda item when received from Joan Wadsworth.
Discussion about the field followed. Discussion among the group confirmed that we are prepared for Spring Round-Up on Monday, May 11 and necessary volunteers are
in place. John thanked Kyle and Laurie Weddle for their great contributions to the football program and wished them well in their new home in Texas. He welcomed
Karen and Ken Robideau as new senior representatives on the board.
Boosters' Report:
Donna MacDonald reported from the May meeting that a golf outing fundraiser is planned for Sat, Aug. 29 at Fox Hills. The cost will be $100/golfer and they hope to
have a minimum of one foursome and 6 silent auction items/sport. Boosters did approve the request from School Administration for $4,000 to re-seed the soccer field
and football practice fields immediately after school is out. Football will have 2 concessions dates during our season.
Fundraising:
Suzanne reported that Mustang cards are complete and she will have the rough draft from the printer by the June meeting. Max and Erma's is scheduled for
Thursday, May 14, and California Pizza Kitchen for Wednesday, June 10. The car wash in downtown Northville is tentatively giving football a portion of their June
proceeds, details to follow. Banner and program ad information will be available at Round-Up; will check on having the program ad artwork sent directly to
International Minute Press.
Coach's Report:
Matt Ladach reported that Activities Night went well, and he is ready for Spring Round-up and summer camps. The coaches clinic Thursday night will benefit our
coaches and he thanked NFPA for supporting it.
